Coffee Date Vol. 2

I'm joining this coffee date train with Lecy at A Simpler Grace. Grab a cup of coffee with her, too!

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd let you take the lead on decision making. It's been a season of giving more than I have...as I'm sure every parent can relate to. Shoot. Probably every human.

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd order all the iced coffee. With extra coffee and a splash of oat or coconut or almond beverage. In that order.

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd ask what your absolute favorite vacation has ever been and if you have any trips in the works. I'd share about my strong desire to experience Palm Springs. I just want to have nothing to do except swim for hours and nap. I think Palm Springs will deliver.

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd welcome all the information you have on owning house cats. Litter? Food? Scratching? Allergies? Yep, I think I'm allergic to our new kittens. Do I just take an allergy pill every day? I think it'd be worth it. We're loving the energy they're bringing to our home.

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd ask who your personal hero is and why. My students are presenting on this very topic and it is so wonderful. All the feels and tears. I'm definitely the teacher who will cry in class.

If we were on a coffee date...

I'd see what you thought about grabbing a blanket to get a quick nap in under the nearest shady tree. If we've been friends for any amount of time, you'd be all about it.

So, for real, who is your personal hero? What would a coffee date with him/her look like?

  1. I totally know that feeling of giving more than you have to give. My favorite vacation was a beach trip my family took when I was in the third grade. I grew up in a huge family with lots of siblings, so we didn't get to go on many trips, but we made lots of memories that week, for sure. I'm sorry that you might be allergic to the kittens, but I'm with you about taking an allergy pill. Animals help reduce stress, so that's a good enough excuse for me! Taking a nap under a shady tree sounds like heaven! I would definitely join you. I'm so happy you were able to join the coffee date this month, Lindsey. Hope to see you next time! <3

  2. My favourite holiday of late was a winter trip to the mountains with hubby. Things will be different now we have a baby. Congratulations on the new kittens! My advice would be to give them lots of affection and playtime, and a spray bottle of water works well to deter naughty behaviour! I hope you can manage your allergies cause kittens are so lovely to have around! Wonderful to have coffee with you again, Lindsey!

  3. That nap under the tree sounds wonderful specially if there is a bit of wind in the leaves. I am blessed with so many great memories of vacations so I really couldn't pick one. Currently I am dreaming of a lake house often though. As for the hero question I need to think on that. Who would you like to have coffee with?
