Stress-Free Winter Bucket List + FREE Printable

winter bucket list, bucket list, holiday bucket list, christmas bucket list
Every season is a chance to evaluate how we're living. I tend to be the one moving our family in and out of these conversations. Are we living intentionally? Are we having fun? Are we letting life happen to us or are we happening to life? If we continued to live exactly the way we are will be happy about it in a few years? I am constantly thinking about it so much! It's exhausting for me and for my husband but he is so sweet and has grown to see the benefit of it.

This Bucket List format was created in a way that works for me and our family. It is simple and gives my brain a break thus the stress-free label. There is room for grace in this bucket list, it allows us to focus on the bigger picture and use our activities as a way to do that but not as the way to do that. Life is constantly changing and offering opportunities. If we don't get to all of the activities but we stay true to our focus then we've been successful!

For example, our autumn bucket list was barely touched but we did stay true to our focus. We gathered a lot and that looked like asking for help from our community of family of friends as we started the adventure of becoming foster parents. A lot of our time was dictated by that process and it didn't leave much room for activities outside of dinner with family and friends, family movie nights, and getting down on the floor and playing with our little ones as much as possible. I don't regret any of it! Those activities we never got to aren't what was truly important and to be honest, we can just move them to another one. You might see some overlap from our autumn bucket list to our winter or spring bucket lists.

Our Winter Focus: seeking our Lord's will for our lives & anticipating His blessings as our family continues to grow for "Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing." Psalm 34:10

Our Winter Activities:
1. Go to the beach- this is my favorite time to be at the ocean because it's so fresh!
2. Make the nursery/toddler room functional & welcoming
3. Simplify our belongings as much as possible
4. Take opportunities to teach all the kids to cook
5. Stock the freezer with meals
6. Read through the Psalms again and again
7. Incorporate Bible reading as a family
8. Say "no"/be protective of our time together
9. Set financial goals/budgeting
10. Pray together as husband & wife

BONUS: go on some type of adventure before baby #3 makes his appearance

Please download your FREE PRINTABLE to see if this something that might work for your family, too. Or just make a list on a post-it note. The point is to live with intention.

    1. Holly, you totally should! I like doing them by season instead of holiday because then I have a lot more time to make things happen.
